  4. Thank you for sharing the news from your part of the world with us. One of the best things about this site is that it allows us "little people" to share our thoughts and information as well. (I'm in the hellhole known as the US where over 3 million are living on the streets and mass shootings now occur almost daily-- no hyperbole.) The despair is palpable even in my quiet small town.

  5. I'm not well-informed, but thought the Russian people have quite a good standard of living now. What is she referring to? I ask a US citizen living with its horrible violence, millions of homeless, legally-sanctioned corruption of politicians, lack of health care for most of us, immensely demoralized, and therefore drugged, populace & etc., etc... I've been wishing I could move to Russia. What don't I see?

  14. And now I see why we in the West were fed such glowing propaganda about Gorbachev!!!! I've been learning the most astonishing, brain-twisting things in the past few months! So much I've taken for truth has been shown to be complete lies! It would make me extremely angry if I wasn't so philosophical now, in my senior years. Now I'm finding it thrillingly, addictively fascinating.... even though it also makes me feel rather a gullible fool for believing the propaganda for so long. Live and learn. Thanks to all of you who are educating me!
