  1. Our society treats children horribly. It's so normalized we don't even recognize it. Think of kids being forced out of bed in the wee hours in winter, perhaps forced to take a bus full of unruly (or worse) other mistreated children, then forced to sit still and BEHAVE for hours on end. Etc. We're a traumatized society. It's no wonder there are so many narcissists in it. And narcissists are rewarded by the capitalist dog-eat-dog and the devil take the hindmost we're in. Social Darwinism fosters mental illness in both the victim and the victor alike. And we're reaping the results right now, aren't we. We've got to learn patience and kindness and start giving a shit about how "the least of us" are treated, don't we.
