I'm 74 and have been intensely driven by my curiosity and an overwhelming sense of social responsibility for most of my life. In the late 70's and early 80's I was, as the editor in chief of an international newspaper dedicated to peace and justice issues, in close contact with thousands of people who were driven by the same compulsions. Now, as we're once again on the brink of omnicide, I don't personally know one other soul that even cares! I live in a small town, but I still find it amazing... (Now I don't have a single person I can sincerely call a "close friend." It's alright, I guess; I have more time to read books and listen to interesting programs like this.). ❤️
