@m.g.7475 You don't know the woman who wrote that. I do. She's done a tremendous amount of work for not only her community, but this country, as a whole. All her life. She's also a noted poet who once worked with Grace Pauley.

@m.g.7475 I understand that you want to feel that because of your virtues, you won't ever get in a horrible situation you can't escape from. I understand your need to believe this is a meritocracy in which people get what they deserve. But it's just not like that. Not at all. There's a lovely old adage it would do you good to consider, "There but for the grace of God, go I.".

@m.g.7475 The woman who wrote the very first comment here. As I said, I actually know her and she's an extraordinarily accomplished woman. I myself have been the editor in chief of an international newspaper and a war correspondent, actually on the battlefields of Nicaragua. I'm also an accomplished woman, know what I'm talking about-- and don't suffer fools gladly. If you do some research you'll eventually find brief bios of both of us, Dear. We're both well into our 70's now, but if you do some due diligence, you'll see who we are.
