  11. Exactly!!! For this reason I've unsubscribed to DN! Just happened to see Sachs was on to tune in. I've replaced DN! with The Duran and other serious reportage... Jackson Hinkle, Redacted... Consortium News, The New Atlas, etc....about 6 others. Any others may not know of? I watch The Duran daily. It's a lovely, highly informative show. (Actually, I watch them all daily now... Fascinating times....)

  17. Another component: both China and Russia have elevated the standard of living for many millions in their countries while Western countries have severely degraded theirs. (As reflected in our increasingly higher rate of mortality... ETC.) So the threat to those in power in the West is actually an economically and politically structural one. While unfettered capitalism produces a few billionaires it simultaneously impoverishes millions. So the question is What are the differences between our economic/political systems? (See Prof. Robert Wolff and others on the topic.) But that can of worms can't be looked into, so our rulers in the Western world have to create boogymen of China and Russia and keep us poor, impotent, fearful, uneducated and distracted with anything they can come up with, anything domestically divisive--and constant wars are unbelievably profitable for them! It's all so cruel, so very insane......

There is NO draft. Their equivalent of our National Guard has been called up. That's all--and Russians are clear on it.   37. This is so like what's happening in the US: Our politicians and their donor owners are draining us dry with their military industrial complex. The Parasite Class has come home to roost because the US Empire is imploding now. I know we're seeing this now in the homelessness, our food banks, the daily mass shootings and the deaths of despair, but it'll eventually come out in uprisings like this. I'm supporting Jill Stein for president because her platform is based on dismantling the empire and redirecting our resources to domestic needs. This can at least give us a softer landing.....

I was astounded to discover how incredibly well their populations are faring-- and their infrastructure is AMAZING too. Check out the Moscow subway system for starters. And Gorky Park dances. But China's even more amazing... It's all blown me away. I had no idea just 5 months ago.
