This is precisely why climate sceptics despair. Someone as brilliant as Sabine actually promotes the idea that climate models determine the climate. Obviously that’s not what she actually thinks … But the fact she said it is a clue to HOW she thinks.

One thing is for sure… If it transpires in a few years time, that global temperatures have levelled off and are about to fall a few degrees causing severe winters, widespread crop failures, blackouts, breakdowns of the infrastructure and food shortages etc ... Answer; 0.0004 degrees Centigrade per year. That’s four ten-thousandths of one degree C per year. California is also 0.0004 … Australia 0.0005 degrees C per year. So forgive me if I feel hostile to governments spending trillions of your tax dollars, and mine, and our childrens’ on NetZero … a solution invented by Giant Corporations for a problem invented by Giant Corporations that will empty the jar marked ‘Environment’ into the coffers of Giant Corporations.

  30. The transmission grid only gets you as far as the urban substation. From there power is transmitted on a ‘low’ voltage network, roughly one hundred homes per substation. Even with staggered charging, this network is limited in capacity to just a handful of EVs and a dozen, or so, heat pumps. Basically every road in the country needs to be dug up and the entire LV network replaced. Which might be possible except that we don’t have the Engineers, nor the labourers, nor the money to do it. It will take decades.
