  2. Duh ! Where do you think the electricity comes from for the electric motor ? Wind turns a turbine + heat. Turbine turns a generator + heat. Generator makes electricity + heat. Electricity is transformed to 60,000 volts for power lines + heat. Electricity transmitted to sub station + heat. Substation transforms it to 240 volts + heat. Car transforms it to 48 volts dc + heat. 48 volts charges battery + heat. Battery discharges into car motor + heat. Motor turns electricity into kinetic energy + heat. Which may, or may not produce more waste heat than the combustion engine equivalent. I’d be surprised if it is, especially if the electricity is generated from gas or coal (which most of it is).
