  1. Kids in the 50s and 60s we were routinely put out to play with very few boundaries, such as; “comeback when it gets dark and don’t cross the big road”. We grew up confident we could handle whatever came our way. Since the 80s kids were brought up in cotton wool afraid of ‘stranger danger’ and other unseen perils. They’ve grown up to the mantra; “keep me safe! Keep me safe!” Hence masks, lockdowns, testing for a disease without symptoms, queues for vaccines etc … We did this to our kids, we only have ourselves to blame.
