  2. Outdoors in winter a mask helps if you’re asthmatic because it warms and humidifies the air going into your airways. A scarf over your mouth works just as well. I’m asthmatic and find anything that restricts my breathing makes me panicky and nauseous.

  5. Try this thought experiment… I give you a ‘supermask’. … If you wear it for 1 second then all the air you breath for the next 5 years will be 100% sterile, but then it stops and you are back in the real world again. Do you put it on? Why not ? So why are wearing that mask again ?

  10. Doctors and nurses who are ill should not be at work treating cancer patients. I would be happy if they were not wearing a mask - then you can see if they are ill. We are actually very good at it, having had millions of years to evolve the ability to do so.

  20. That’s ridiculous… You are encouraging people who are sick to go out and about, because they can wear a mask. And to make matters worse, I can’t even see if you are ill when you are wearing a mask. It’s not hygiene, it is unbelievably selfish and anti-social in the extreme.
