You are making the same mistake the modellers made :- Assuming everybody will catch it, potentially catastrophically … Especially if they are old or sick or frail. However, this does not happen … If it did, then the the care homes would have been wiped out in the first wave … But they weren’t … And remember there was no PPE, no social distancing, no restrictions then. Just like with any other respiratory disease, there is a significant cohort, maybe 50% or more, who are not made ill by the disease. When a cold/flu gets into a school/office/hospital etc, does EVERYBODY get ill with it ??? Nah. Oh … And you are assuming children are at risk, which they are not … Another thing the modellers also got wrong.
