  1. Nah … The heads of the institutions and Civil Service each got to the top of their profession through promotion … “The best of the best”; you might say. These intellectual oligarchs have 30 to 50 IQ points over their political peers, and way more relevant experience, and both parties know it. That’s why they tell the politicians what to do, and that’s how we have a ‘Single Transferable Party’, and that’s why it appears politicians can’t do critical thinking … Most of them can but they are not allowed to.
