  7. I met a guitarist from a Queen tribute band recently - he was selling all his gear because he got tendinitis learning all those Brian May riffs. Massive scars from his wrist to his elbow and ordered by doctors to stop playing … Not a happy bunny.

  22. Ray Lamontagne … Yes, a very good inclusion. Superb sound quality and, to me the early albums are less than perfect in the timing, which gives them a great laid back feel.

  24. From 1977 “Show Some Emotion” by Joan Armatrading. Great clarity of recording - miles better than anything that comes out today. From 2011 ‘The Aristrocrats” cuz there’s no overdubs … Just a trio on fire.

  46. The original Angus Young solo is heavily, heavily influenced by Paul Kossoff. So maybe you should try to reimagine an all time classic … the All Right Now solo. Very, difficult to reimagine perfection though.

  47. 21st century technology has instilled an expectation of instant gratification. The smart phone generation scan millions of tracks a week at warp speed. No time for half diminished chords. However, vi – IV – I – V There you have it: instant gratification. The intro’ to songs is getting shorter and shorter for the same reason…
