They don’t seem to know Letby was sentenced to life for killing baby C WHEN SHE WASN’T THERE … The fatal injury happened when she was off shift, which is why the key witness has changed his mind on how the baby died. They don’t seem to know Letby was sentenced to life for killing baby O who actually died from a botched aspiration procedure and the doctor involved accused Letby to hide his own mistake! They don’t seem to know her barrister is asking for a re-trial, not an appeal. Get your act together Julia.

  16.  @leegoodman297  It’s nothing to do with statistics. It’s basic arithmetic. Like working out speed from time and distance. Neither is it skewed, nor defeatist. It’s just a numerical benefits analysis. Governments don’t have any money of their own. The eye watering billions they will spend on Net Zero is our money. We have the right to ask “what is the benefit?” 0.0004 degrees per year reduction in global temperatures might not be worth the billions spent. Maybe we would rather it was spent on something else like social care, education and the environment.

  30. That is a very optimistic forecast for the economy at the end. I can't see it myself. Take aerospace for example. Very few people will be going anywhere until a vaccine is available worldwide. So you don't need aircraft, don't need engines, don't need airports, don't need flight crew, don't need hotels. A significant percentage of people will minimise going out until we have a vaccine so fewer pubs, resteraunts, shops, cafes, estate agents, charity shops, theatres, cinemas, coffee shops, garden centres etc, etc...

  33. J J ; It sucks. Teachers will all get tarred with the same brush. No doubt there are some really shitty doctors and nurses - but they are ALL HEROES. The heroes for me are the supermarket and essential shop workers. Like me 😇😊 And btw 23 shop floor staff where I work in close proximity with 1000s of people every day. Only a few got ill - one had it for 2 weeks - but nobody ended up in hospital.

  39. I wonder how many people who support lockdown think it will get rid of the virus. It won't of course. It will still be out there. You can't get rid of it. And we can't wait 18 months in lockdown for a vaccine. Which is why, ultimately, herd Immunity is the only viable solution.

  41. Stephen Saunders , Quite right. A pound to a penny, anyone who says that we must stay in indefinitely to save blah blah blah, works for the public sector or some associated quango. They are super glued to the teat of taxpayer cash and usually have no understanding of how things actually work and wouldn't care if they did. Their income will still arrive, they still have no accountability, their pension still gets funded. It's the rest of us who own, or work for private companies that generate the revenues and take all the risk. We're the ones who have the most to lose and our voices should be heard in amongst the siren screeching of the 'if it saves one life' brigade.

So if you had a tv, then yeh, you’re gonna watch the BBC. But now, there are 14,000,000 people who voted Tory at the last election who can honestly say they wouldn’t watch the BBC if you paid them. Do they buy The Guardian? No. Do they watch the BBC? No.. Nobody has to pay for something they don’t want. And nobody has to pay for something they fucking hate! Bring on the goons...

  50. I just heard IDS on the JH-B show saying the reason Covid death rates are now so low is because we are all following their rules !!! That’s outrageous. They are counting tens of thousands of ‘infected’ people but hardly any end up in hospital because we all put on our little masks to go into Asda ??? How does that work ? Magic ? They tragedy is people are going to believe this BS. We will have to wear masks forever.
