  1. Alfie Noakes , Correct, you are so brilliant. In the past that is exactly what we did - isolate people who had the disease. What are we doing now? Isolating 60 million people who Haven't got the disease!!!! It's insane. 60,000,000 people in the UK suffering from a virus they haven't got.

  2. So Angry , listen to the reports of number of deaths. They are very carefull to say "died With coronavirus" not died Of coronavirus. 91% of deaths have two or three underlying health conditions. And we are not talking about athlete's foot!

  5. Angus McAngus , Me too. If you are old enough to have lived through the economic meltdown of the 70s you know what it is like. Most people have not experienced the utterly life and soul destroying experience of long term unemployment so most people support lockdown.

They are super glued to the teat of taxpayer cash and usually have no understanding of how things actually work and wouldn't care if they did. Their income will still arrive, they have no accountability, their pension still gets funded. It's the rest of us who own or work for private companies that generate the revenues and take all the risk. We're the ones who have the most to lose. Professor medical expert advising government has a six figure salary and a gold plated pension.

  11. Kevin Buckley , I am sure you know there is no way we can tell how many people have had it until we have a reliable serology antibody test. Which we don't have. Yet. The respiratory swab tests you are talking about are largely done as confirmatory tests. If you use those results to extrapolate across the population you are building in a massive sample bias and getting completely the wrong number.

  13. John James ; Correct. The under 45s should never have been locked down in the first place. They could have saved the economy. And no need to shut down schools. The Old and vulnerable should have been locked down just like now... No visitors. All that money spent saving business could have been spent on the NHS and looking after those in lockdown. Now what have we got to look forward to ? Job losses, foreclosures, calling in debt, lending stops, money supply down, wage deflation, money hoarding, spending stops, tax receipts down, health systems collapse, death and destitution on an unimaginable scale, bankruptcies, collapse in house prices, negative equity, collapse in confidence, asset values down, business values down, profits down, investment down, inequality (ie; money in the wrong place), debts and defecits, austerity, pessimism etc, etc... !!!?

  14. Quite right. Peak hospitals deaths was 8th April which means peak infections was 18th March . Full lockdown started on 20th March. So infections were coming down BEFORE lockdown started!
