@jimmyc974 There is an apostrophe in you’re. You’re is a contraction of ‘you are’ … A contraction is one word that is formed by combing two words. As the two words are combined, a letter is (or letters are) dropped and an apostrophe is added in its place. Usually, a pronoun and a verb are used when forming contractions.

Even if Net Zero did create thousands of jobs there aren’t enough qualified engineers in the country to fill them !

@leegoodman297 It’s nothing to do with statistics. It’s basic arithmetic. Like working out speed from time and distance. Neither is it skewed, nor defeatist. It’s just a numerical benefits analysis. Governments don’t have any money of their own. The eye watering billions they will spend on Net Zero is our money. We have the right to ask “what is the benefit?” 0.0004 degrees per year reduction in global temperatures might not be worth the billions spent. Maybe we would rather it was spent on something else like social care, education and the environment.

There will never be a referendum on Net Zero because, by law, that would give the climate deniers the same air time as the eco-lunes … They will never let that happen.
