@Ivan_Powrosnik Please as a person living in Russia I know about problems of the Russian economy much more than you. Moscow and SPb have about 15-25 mln people with vicinities, 10-20% of the Russian population, isn't it too much for Potemking village? Yet my statement was that all forecasts about its nearest future are proved to be bs. The fact is that it is a very big economy with vast resources still demanded over the world and a huge class of very adaptive enterpreneurs, and yes I don't expect Russia will become a technological giant or will demonstrate еconomic miracles, but all talks about its close collapse are wishful thinking. May be they will come true, may be not and Russian economy will be on the float for decades. And I was especially amuzed by the point of view I've met in many comments: "Russia is populated by stupid illiterate subhuman peasants ready to eat grass in the glory of Putin", it is as far or even more far from the realty than Putin's propaganda that "Russia is a prosperous country and Europe will freeze to death soon without Russian gas". And it just reflects how all people are inclined to simplified opinions and wishful thinking.

Get used to poverty? I live in SPb and earn about 4-5 thousans dollars a month net of taxes being a small enterpreneur. I hate Putin, and think he leads the country into an abyss, but all these "forecasts" aren't worth a broken penny.

"With inflation 30% Russian economy has negative 10%." Please you don't know the abc of economy. When somebody says that the economic growth is n%, it ALWAYS means the REAL growth, so the growth adjusted for inflation.

@GuffinMcGuffin Please learn how the real growth is calculated in organizations like the World Bank. They don't rely on the estmation of the inflation from any external sources. They compare outputs of the consequtive years based on the prices of the basic year.

Pathetic but ok:)But in fact you don't understand basic economic concepts and don't seem capable of grasping them even after the simplest explanations. Once again, when assessing the real growth nobody relies on any CPI. Instead, the outputs of two years are compared using base-year prices. What does the inflation indicators issued by the Russian government's have to do with this at all? This always happens when arguing with stupid, ignorant people—you have to explain elementary things, but even that usually turns out to be useless.

My ex-wife living in SPb earned about 80-100 thousand rubles a month (one thousand dollar) while working as a parametic (медсестра) till she has become an enterpreneur like me. It did not make her a rich person but it is far from poverty. Yes drunkards in their 40s and 50s from province without projects of life are ready to die for 2 thousand dollars a month. But it is not all Russia, and currently all regions are forced to raise the award every month because less and less people want to join the Russian army.

I didn't say Putin is a great leader who leads Russia to happiness and greatness (in fact I said he is a criminal who leads Russia to an abbys), and I didn't say the Russian economy is stable and that I'm happy with the current state of the it. I said nobody knows what will happen with it in the nearest future and all forecasts are bs. We can't even predict the weather for more than several days ahead for very fundamental reasons. But again you have a monkey brain and is able to comprehend only very primitive statements.

@GuffinMcGuffin Зайка, смотря какая инфляция - продуктовая, да, возможно навскидку, в среднем процентов 20%, может даже больше, с учетом падения качества продуктов, но продуктовая это еще не вся инфляция, и для оценки общей инфляции нужно проводить довольно сложные исследования, а не судить только по ценам в пятерочке как делают одноклеточные как ты:) И потом читай, что тебе пишут. Еще раз, причем здесь вообще инфляция. При расчете реального роста никакой показатель инфляции типа CPI не используется. Для коррекции ценовых эффектов при сравнении выпусков за разные периоды времени производится пересчет объемов по ценам базового года - перечитай несколько раз, если с первого раза не доходит. Ладно, общаться с де г ене ратами и объяснять им вещи на уровне детского сада никогда не видел большого смысла, а по своему развитию ты явно мало отличаешься от тех самых ла х т инских мар ты шек, о которых ты упомянул:) Гуляй, ид ио т ик :)

The main reasons why Russians don’t overthrow Putin are obvious: the significant atomization of society (people are immersed in their tiny clusters of families and close circles, with little trust in those outside this group), the (still) relatively good material well-being (in 2024, Russia was recognized by the World Bank as a high-income country), the absence of elite division (it’s impossible to cite a single example of a successful revolution without elite division), even the huge territory and low density of the population (you will hardly move from Siberia to overthrow Putin), and just the fact that Putin is the most resource-backed dictator in world history, spending enormous amounts on security, propaganda and terrorizing citizens without any limits (people are jailed for 9 years just for using the word "war").

As any shrimp brain people you make senseless statements you can't prove. It is especially ridiculous if you live in the USA where at least a third of the population have reading skills at a third-grader's level and an average citizen typically can't find his own country on the map. Believe most of these "dim-witted peasants" in Russia can (and in fact Russia has ceased to be an agricultural country many decades ago so has not a "peasant population" but you have a shrimp brain as I've said and is incapable of making simplest fact-checking) .

You cant even find simple figures and instead get your "statistics" from your a ss. Идиот ик, ещ е раз, учись читать. Sorry but you are s t upid and have no clue about Russia (if you are an American you probably can't even find your own country on the map). The average IQ in Russia does not differ much from this in any Western country according to any IQ maps. And the government is forced to raise the award for military contract every momth because less and less people want to join the Russian army.

Please The turning point in the collapse of the USSR was in 1991, when the State Committee on the State of Emergency (GKChP) came to power, and the Russians literally overthrew it. At the same time, Ukrainians and Belarusians didn’t even make a sound. Moreover, Belarusians immediately elected the dictator Lukashenko, while Russia still had democracy.

Why, in essence, was the Soviet Union and the Soviet system dismantled by the Russians, who overthrew the State Emergency Committee (GKChP), while Ukrainians didn’t even make a move after the GKChP coup and voted for the "preservation of the USSR"? @ESF-EF As a Ukrainian you can confirm a shit. Any IQ maps and international education ratings show that Russia has higher IQ and much better education than Ukraine.

@Kohagaan Yes the USA helped us to cease this war a lot (although simple facts show the most of equipment and weapon used for this war by USSR was produced internally and most of German military manpower was destroyed by the Soviets.

@Kohagaan I didn't say us didn't help. You can't read. They gave an important contribution to the victory. Was this contribution the main among the allies? Evidently no. Although the contribution the USSR rather was. "at first ussr didn't even have boots to give to their troops" Please make simplest factchecking before generating your statemetns. I'm so tired to fact check for other people. Moscow factories alone produced about 8 million pairs of army boots. It is far from "having no boots" for Russian troops.

@Kohagaan Yes, at the beginning of the war the Soviet industry supplied about 3 million pairs of army boots, which as far I as understand didn't cover the demand. "I'm sure I saw somewhere something about like a million pair of boots". In fact much more. 15 million pairs of army boots was supplied by the USA to the USSR during the war. Taking into account, that the Soviet industry worked too, I guess boots were a quite fast worn product during the war time. And again the help from the USA was very-very important, and even Stalin after the war admitted that without this help no victory would have occured.

The average IQ in Russia is the same as in Europe or the USA according to all IQ maps. But in fact most of people are stu p id monkeys including you dude. You don't differ from an average Russian, French etc. because prefer simple, primitive answers and views as any average human over the world.
