  5. Egg and black pepper both work well, however you cannot pressurize the system, so eventually your water boils off. It will get you home in a pinch, but its not a permanent fix.

  6. Cars of the 50’s got to 50K on the odometer and the engines were wore out because of the oil technology. Modern engines with modern oils will go half a MILLION miles or more. I for one am REALLY glad they don’t make it like they used to.

  7. I used to sell so many engine cleaning treatments at a shop i worked at, I would run out, and resort to using ATF to help clean engines. Worked pretty good too!!

  8. I guess branding and advertising is what made me think locktite was the best you could get. Great video!!! Ever wonder which is the best oil filter?? I have. And i bet branding and advertising will leave a lot of people surprised!!

  11. The two times Ive done it I used a length of rebar with great results. Ive got a piece of stainless bar stock I will have to try next time.

  13. MUST add Dawn dish soap to the mix too (that cheap stuff is garbage). Ive used it at the shop over everything else for decades. The Uni-First guy used to wonder why we never used the pumice soap until I washed my hands with Dawn in front of him😂🤣

  15. My landlord did this to the shower drain for about a year before I called a professional plumber. Turned out that the internal plug for the drain rotted off the lever and dropped down, effectively closing the drain. No amount of Drano was gonna fix that lol.

  18. chester8420 None of the differences matter? I suppose that depends on how long you plan on keeping your vehicle, and how much you want to spend on repairs. Engine replacements aren’t cheap!!

  21. Its what i use at the shop to make short work of ball joints and tie rod ends. Cuts hardened steel like butter. Mild steel like soft butter lol.

  25. +1 I switched from Milwaukee to Diablo Sawzall blades about 2 years ago. Besides going through exhaust pipe like warm butter, they'll nip off bolts quickly, and last a good long time. I was burning up 2-3 blades, or just resorting to fire for stubborn sway bar end links before, now 1 blades lasts 4-5 jobs. They even cut ball joints!!!😁👍👍

  28. If you're stripping wires all day, the Klines are the way to go. Less fatigue from trying to rip the insulation vs the klines actually cutting to fit and then just sliding off. Or, if you are primarily doing solid wire, the knipex single actions are great, but i those style tend to fray stranded wires.

  29. I bought the big 1/2" drive Dewalt and used it in the shop for about 9 months before something came loose internally that connects the battery to the tool. I tried repairing it to no avail. So for the last few months I've been back to fighting with, and tripping over, the air hose - mulling my next cordless impact purchase. It was big, heavy, awkward, expensive, and didn't last very long. I always liked Dewalt, used the drill/drivers for years, but now IDK. From this video, I think Rigid will be my next impact. If it lasts more than a few months later I'm ahead of the game, if not I think I'll have to try Milwaukee.

  30. Ive always heard good things about LiquidMoly... I guess its over hyped. However, i saw a show once where the guy ran his truck with regular oil, then switched to Royal Purple, and engine, trans, and rear temps all dropped noticeably, on average 10*. It may not sound like much, but it could be the difference between making it home, or not.

  31. Having changed countless tires full of fix-a-flat, I knew it was pretty useless. The ONLY advantage is that it has propellant that can be used to inflate the tire. Perfect timing on this vid - was about to go try a bottle of Slime myself tomorrow for a slow leak.

  32. I always liked Liquid Wrench, but my shop uses PB. Er used to use PB. We're almost out, and Im ordering Liquid Wrench next order. I knew I liked it better for a reason :)

  33. Good rule of thumb: Pump gas goes in your car. Everything else takes PURE non ethanol gasoline, available from most home centers, tractor supply, etc, or you’ll be repairing or replacing parts and equipment.

  34. Nashua is pretty much industry standard. All the top notch HVAC companies use it on the job. If your HVAC guy shows up with a roll of "Duck" tape, hire someone else.

  38. Same here cutting tie rod ends and ball joint bolts. I dont even count exhaust because it barely scratches the blade. Ill never go back to bimetal blades. I just heard about a milwausee blade called "the torch" supposed to be even better!!

  41. I've always been a fan of Meguires, and recommend it, and this seals it!! Years ago I knew a guy that was junking an old brown Volvo, with HEAVILY oxidized paint, to the point where rubbing your finger across the hood would leave it brown. Some Meguires rubbing compound and I had a small section looking like new!! His mom actually rethought junking it - but only for a moment 😕😂

  42. Octane is a measurement of the fuels resistance to detonation, which is when fuel ignites under pressure, rather than with the spark, such as in high compression engines. Running a higher octane than necessary is a waste of your money, and damages your emissions equipment, namely the catalytic converter. Short version: Dont use higher octane than necessary for your engine.

  45. The difference is really just how long they’ll last. A platinum plug is rated for 100k, whereas a plain old copper is good for 30-50k. Spark is spark. No difference there😉

  46. While good wipers are important, NOTHING beats Rain-X. I have cars come in my shop all the time with brand new wipers and they still can’t see in the rain, until I treat the windshield.

  48. Centrifugal super charger. Nitrous and turbos make a lot of heat the rings won’t don’t like much, and bad things happen. Worst case with a CSC is you blow oil out of the breather.

  50. I used to add a quart of ATF and let a vehicle idle for about 10 minutes then redline it once for just a blip to break up sludge in engines before doing an oil change. NEVER drive with ATF in the crankcase, but with no load, it wont harm anything.
