Innovation? Burning $800 billion a year is bound to make some heat. The best argument for DoD funding (borrowing) is that it makes jobs in Congressional districts.
2
Of course I had to tune in to see why you were wrong.

The F-35 price tag was $200 billion and with delays and cost overruns went to $400 billion. How many of these systems can Americans afford to grub stake so that the company can sell them to other countries for a profit?
2
What do we get for our money? Cost overruns and delays jack up original contract costs big time. The F-35 came in at bid half the eventual cost. "The JSF program was expected to cost about $200 billion for acquisition in base-year 2002 dollars when SDD was awarded in 2001.[59][60] As early as 2005, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) had identified major program risks in cost and schedule.[61] The costly delays strained the relationship between the Pentagon and contractors.[62] By 2017, delays and cost overruns had pushed the F-35 program's expected acquisition costs to $406.5 billion, " - Wikipedia

Many Ukrainians agreed to supply food and other supplies during torture. It was voluntary.
2
And knowledge. It's more than a feeling.
2
Some of us know about the military economy and notice lots of waste, cost overruns, and expenditures that don't equate to defense of freedom. $850 billion a year and can't handle basic logistics to Ukraine.
2
Reposting a story about the Hunter laptop was regulated as were alternative views about COVID. There are ways.
2
Can they talk? That seems to be a declining skill.
2
@johnn3542 Pretty sure there ARE migrant . . . .
2
The March to the Sea didn't pay for chow. This is a civil war.
2
Newton showed that the intensity of light falls away as the square of the distance. Yes, closer is better and human assets can look under skirts.
2
Google was a misspelling on their first big check. They stuck with it.
2
@secretagentcat YouTube is courting Russia to keep up the byte rate. Everything is negotiable.
2
Yes, the biggest expense in government contracts and grants is red tape, borne by the applicant. In fairness, the DoD is better than other agencies in picking basic research winners ahead of time (although the winners often squeeze them during procurement).
2
@scorpionking4012 Of course not! Everyone that shares a religion with wrong doers is guilty and subject to revenge.
2
Deportation costs are a fraction of having an underground economy and the other costs to society. Yes, the business men will suffer.
2
Don't the potential actions of Israel affect any calculations for the needed military strength?
2
Francis Gary Powers? Just pulling your leg, which I do with friends!
2
Concerning indeed. Who's going to fight in Iran?
2
Correct. Set a limit to your losses. When that is gone, the gambling entertainment budget is gone. Stick to this advice and enjoy Vegas!
2
Russia should invest in writers able to craft a plausible narrative. Spending big money to disseminate twaddle exposes the operation.
2
@FlyingAnanas-337 Don't worry. If you're American boots stay safe.
2
@netanelzion Can you please post your comment again? It seems really important and we wouldn't want anyone to miss it.
2
I'm not Ukrainian, only American.
2
Vegas began attracting tourists unserious about gambling. Pity.
2
Audace, toujours audace. "Patton" the movie.
2
Grateful or afraid of deportation? There is a difference. Of course, with its debt repayment and excellent cuisine Haiti is destined to be a tourist mecca.
2
The "reporter" who asked about Zelensky's suit is Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend. This was an ambush as Jake Broe notes.
2
But they don't come free from America, who decides who gets to be overrun.
2
Trump picked people to take off the election playing board. Tulsi "Biolabs" Gabbard is proving to be not smart enough. She blew it when she said, "Senator, I don't pay attention to Russian propaganda." Intelligence listens to everything legal. Then it calls Five Eyes.
2
The Little Corporal trimmed his mustache after a gas attack. Became a trademark.
2
Sounds like a future Navy SEAL jonesing to serve.

A Clarke-like orbit isn't restricted to the equator. "The Tundra orbit is an eccentric geosynchronous orbit, which allows the satellite to spend most of its time dwelling over one high latitude location. It sits at an inclination of 63.4°, which is a frozen orbit, which reduces the need for stationkeeping.[23] At least two satellites are needed to provide continuous coverage over an area.[24] It was used by the Sirius XM Satellite Radio to improve signal strength in the northern US and Canada.[25] Quasi-zenith orbit The Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) is a four-satellite system that operates in a geosynchronous orbit at an inclination of 42° and a 0.075 eccentricity.[26] Each satellite dwells over Japan, allowing signals to reach receivers in urban canyons then passes quickly over Australia.[27]" - Wikipedia, which made most of college irrelevant?
2
Hush. Vietnam created a lot of jobs.
2
Hold on, starving kids are seen as a positive by some. It's been a longstanding problem and we've all been advised to look at the history.
2
It was a New Coke moment. Eccentric billionaires gonna be eccentric.
2
She's a pretend person.

"And neither of us know how to pronounce "nuclear."
1
Whatever is on paper, I became alarmed when surplus military vehicles began being distributed to law enforcement. That puts some major firepower in the hands of Deputy Dawg who used to only have firehoses.
1
@Matt-xc6sp Phony Harris turns it into a racial identity poster because that's why she's VP.
1
Ooh, Tony Stark no longer a hero when he wanted free speech and became a republican. Que sera, sera. Government workers not cutting the mustard are quaking in their crocs.
1
Given that the American boys always get complete air superiority, why evolve the tank based on the Ukrainian one-legged man in an ass kicking contest?
1
The U.S. needs to get over its addiction to cheap labor with no rights.
1
737s wouldn't have sent the same message. Biden's flights coming into the American interior at night avoided publicity. That's not the goal now.
1
Lockheed Martin said it would be half the price in less time. Hey, lying is OK when Pentagon guys are looking for a job after retirement.
1
I don't believe the Pentagon's leaders have the mentality to understand all the contracts that go over cost and schedule and deliver a substandard product (not that the F-35 is substandard, Israel loves it!). And congrats on your gig.
1
So many are playing pin the 2025 on the elephant.
1
The Russians need a Mr. Fusion that runs on zeroed troops.
1
They'll keep their mouths shut about the cartels if they're smart.
