  27. I followed the invasion in 2014 and was convinced we would step in. But, just like Hungary in '56 and Czechoslovakia in '68, the U.S. ignored it, even though we waded in hip deep in places like Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. After Bucha, pretty hard for any decent American to ignore. We Americans take our freedom for granted and seem to step in to free others for reasons that remain hidden.
