  1. It's important to keep in mind that most politicians have the morals of alley cats. They want to stay in power at any cost. The desire for power drives them like thirst or hunger drives normals. They will make compromises and deals, especially when those arrangements can be hidden from the public. The recent events in Taiwan serve as a distraction for two politicians in disfavor with their people. Am I too cynical?
