Thanks for keeping track of the details! I approve of checking out what's doing good for the world, and what's just parasitism on a well meaning sentiment by the Americans. It's sometimes called "an audit." Keeps folks honest about where money goes.

Agreed. It was made inevitable by Slow Joe and it's underway, obviously. It's not rocket science.

Replace "With" with "Despite" and I agree with you.

Imagine having your hair buzzed off by Russians. And then you are asked about the other things they did to you.

Pre-dawn raid (with CNN alerted in advance) for Roger Stone and searches for classified documents when others aren't searched is pretty Third World, no?

I'm concerned about the humanitarian effects in Gaza. Who is going to cross the border on Saturdays to turn electric appliances on and off? But there are workarounds. Whew! "This gives rise to the following leniency: One may hint a non-Jew to turn off a light interfering with one's sleep, since eliminating a nuisance (the light) is not considered a benefit. Hinting may be done, for example, by saying: "The light is on, and I am forbidden to turn it off." Another example of a non-benefit is turning on a light if there already is a minimal amount of light present. This is because an increased ease of function is not considered a benefit.[3] When the activity desired is itself only rabbinically prohibited, it may be permitted to tell a non-Jew to perform the activity for important reasons, such as a communal benefit (such as a power outage in the synagogue) or a mitzvah (such as circumcision). This principle is known as shevut deshevut bimkom mitzvah. There are also leniencies in the event of a sick person, including even minor discomfort among very young children."
