  1. Watched a lot of 1420. The older Russians have been cowed. The younger ones delude themselves that they live in a democracy.

  3. To be fair, the Ukrainians have always been pretty uppity and unwilling to admit they are inferior and submit to their Russian masters. Russians are taught that they must be obeyed.
