  21. Finished it, and my biggest complaint is how little they really accomplished as it ended up being just another drawn-out soap opera with season 1 as little but a setup for season 2 and probably 3. Best parts: B Wong, also known as Wong in Dr. Strange which is so cool, he was the only one whose few comments actually had me LOL twice. He's blowing it with his kid, and why we have to ONCE MORE have gays to use for friction, I don't know. Yes, the kid's lazy and delusional, but you don't come right out and just thrash on him, Wong. Didn't Doc teach you better? There are tons of possible ways to defeat the aliens' plans, for all of their degrees I'm amazed they haven't hit on any of them yet. The aliens should've just waited and shown up, mankind will be gone in 100 years easily, if not sooner, so in 400 years the earth should be pristine again. I also liked Jack mostly, and appreciated his instant recognition of the BS that Tiffany was spewing, who is still an enigma. Does she have extra strength? Jack was no tiny guy, and she's a tiny chick, so I'll begin there in my criticisms: Less than best parts: Re: the 'video wipes,' I'm surprised to see how surprised everyone is that it happens, it should be fairly simple for some blocking/cloaking/shielding tech to take care of that, but I'm more interested in how she seems to be able to take out guys 3x her size; Jack was bad enough but the guard Ye had seemed pretty damned tough as were some others, so what is it with her exactly? My biggest curiosity is just how these helmets for the "game" which seems stupid to call it anyway, ever got here on earth in physical form in the first place. The aliens clearly must've sent them, but then why can't they send other things that would simply neutron-bomb all human life w/o destroying the planet? Or, any of 100 other things such an advanced race would know and have. How do they get them in boxes with name cards and such, though other Lord'ers (my Lord? Eff that!) obviously still exist somewhere I'd imagine. As for us outstripping them within that 400 years, the aliens are really wrong about that, since almost none of that/any tech advances haven't had as many or more problems than benefits due to man's destructive nature. In short, the more tech we advance in, the less time it'll take before we wipe ourselves out completely without the San Ti having to lift a finger if they have them, which brings up the next point. Of course we're expecting to not like what their true forms are, but simply seeing them could give us all sorts of new possible deterrents and weapons, and the crusty old Dubliner has seen plenty in his life, I doubt he'd be much affected, and throwing that extra hideousness in our minds' eyes would help to demoralize anyone who saw it. Ye didn't deserve a good, quick death; she deserved to fall off of that cliff and feel each smack/break on the way down for betraying the human race. 'Nuff said about that traitor, even Trump would be like "Damn! Even I wouldn't do that...I think!" When a voice tells you ten times DO NOT REPLY, one doesn't reply at all, and one destroys all of that sun-bump messaging for good. Season 2 thoughts: It was obvious the nuclear bomb space boosters would fail somehow, so it'll be interesting to see just how, when and in what shape the 'brain' returns. I'll watch it next year or whenever, but I won't binge it again, not unless they start answering problems instead of just falling prey to them over and over again. How brain boy comes into play, why they want the brother out of the way, the whole countdown nonsense (why did she automatically assume it was some brain bomb? I figured it was to scare her off her project, or to show she reached a critical achievement in what the coming war would need for us to survive, but it's just nothing so far.
