This is an OLD story, but it's relevant because we had three old caucasian females get lost and stuck in the CR Gorge this weekend, and now we've got another such senior getting attacked by a cougar. So, who's the real problem here? The "victims" are never billed nor contribute a cent. The gorge is always dangerous, and one of them died w/o a cell phone so teams had to spend all that extra time and energy to find her body; and cougars have been impinged upon as much as all animals have by we humans. Maybe this shouldn't be a bike or hiking trail at all.
