I do feel sorry for the girl, she was way over her head in far too many ways. The owner acted quite foolishly to hire her and leave her alone. Did she even get any MAST training? It's overly extensive, but the basics are all common-sense.

@carriestrickler9113 It's a skill you learn, and if it's 100s, then that means some cocktail wait staff, so they're doing a bunch of it themselves. The last check is simply training and learning how to use it to recognize potential over-serving. I call it the five S's: if you swear, stumble, slur, shout or spill, my eyes are all over watching you; and I'd probably tell you I need to slow you down, so how about some coffee or food?

She's EXTREMELY YOUNG and totally inexperienced to have served all of that, and then to admit to it though I'm glad the family can sue the business at least.

Bars overserve every day in every bar in the country, all of them, I've seen it for 30+ years of PT bartending. Limits are so low, and punishments even for deadly crashes are often ridiculously easy to avoid and go right back to the bars, that's it's untenable to bartend anymore. Who knows if we'll be shot one night by some crazy ex or fired worker or just some drunk with a gun. There should be LICENSES to DRINK in bars, instead of taking away driving or cars. Make, then take those cards away when someone gets convicted, and make the laws more realistic and see them ENFORCED, and this kind of crap won't happen. WHOEVER hired this little girl is going to be fully liable, and they should be.

Our society's whole deal with alcoholism is a hypocritical, double-edged joke. We need license cards to DRINK and BUY BOOZE away from home, not just to drive.

I've been one much longer, so I KNOW that everywhere, even at your bar and shift, people are technically over-served every day in every way. Limits are so low, it's a given, even for YOU.

@viewerviewer Why are you trying to defend this lowlife cowardly killer? You're wrong, BTW, too

@viewerviewer says the grammarless troll lol. Now muted lol GR

@jowbloe4700 No, it's not. You can serve it as in carry it to the table, but you can't open or pour any booze at all.

@jowbloe4700 Companies can be in big trouble too, it's their employee.

@jowbloe4700 Most joints are bar/server double-spots
1
@jowbloe4700 I'll have to double-check that one, even for Mexas that sounds hard to believe.

Michelle Troll, He wasn't buried, he was entombed, spammer. Go away, you're muted.

@chrisjamesbrian As they should be! Been saying that forever.

Exactly, the limits are so low it should be ONE drink WITH A FULL MEAL, then you're cut off. But NO BAR does that ever! Bars overserve every day in every bar in the country, all of them, I've seen it for 30+ years of PT bartending. Punishments even for deadly crashes are often ridiculously easy to avoid and go right back to the bars, that it's untenable to bartend anymore. She didn't have any of that and should not have been there at all. There's more than just basic fault to her and the owner, they're both going to get sued big time, and jail time should not be off the table at all. ENOUGH of drunks running around killing others than going right back to bars.
