Interesting, but for him. He's been on-cam and talked about himself way too much already in 1:26. It's a shame as the material is of interest.

Humans are so arrogant. JUST the looky-loos that infest my NW's San Juan Islands to watch the Orcas is disrupting them. Animals have far more powerful senses then we do...it's been proven that just the boat motors alone cause them to alter their feedings. People are far more disgusting and sick than any animal ever could be!

Yes, most inappropriate. It makes me wonder how many of those seal pups might've been put in danger just to get this footage. And the Orcas almost look trained to come onto the shallow surf to get them.

They're actually related to dolphins more than whales, but good point, I wondered that too. And that's just more evidence that this wasn't some one time, just-happen-to-be-there photo op.

First of all, it's not really a "versus" situation. Just predator on prey. And, secondly, the tone of the thing was not right. I've never understood killing or wanting to see killing. We humans are a bloodthirsty lot. Not exactly one of our virtues.

Yes, but they do run some risk of beaching. Dolphins and porpoises do the same things in some conditions and locales, but chasing fish, not seal pups.

I found the overall tone displeasing, too.

And where are the parents? This reeks of manipulation...

How do you know it wasn't set up? Sea lion pups don't just sit in the water with huge orcas there to eat them, and their moms wouldn't let them in nature. Read some of the other comments, the footage was definitely manipulated. And the commentary, and the tone of it, were very bad.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."-- It sounds like single people don't matter, like in a lot of society. Why is that?
1
Yeah, this was an unnecessary display of behavior, interesting or not. I'm surprised at Natl Geographic. No big surprise here in America though, it's what many thrive on. Just read most of these posts. Disgusting.
