  6.  @rickyd454  I'm East Coast US so I'm interested in hearing from actual residents of CA. Regarding "lockdown"..I find the use of that word an exaggerated, because if you can get Dunkin Donuts, you're not under "lockdown"..but I agree that any restrictions put on businesses should be fair. How do you think a governor should lower gas prices?

I agree 100% that the Dems dropped the ball on Roe (when Obama decided once he was elected that codifying Roe suddenly wasn't a priority) But on every other issue, such as common sense gun safety regulation, LGBTQ rights, even healthcare, Dems are better than the GOP.. Of course I'm saddened that most Dems seem cowardly about universal, single-payer healthcare..but what plan does the GOP have?? As far as fighting for codifying Roe and insuring women get reproductive healthcare they need, the fight must be, as Bernie often says, "from the ground up." Of course it should be codified at the federal level, but unfortunately now we're back to fighting for states to do it. And we can't stop fighting.

  10. Gavin speaks for many of us. Also, roughly 4 million additional young people in the US are eligible to vote in 2024. And most seem to share his progressive sentiments, especially regarding abortion rights and common sense gun regulation.
