  2.  @spanke2999  how about Slavery, the actual owning & trading human bodies for economic purposes. You had the 1st sentence right. And slavery still exists today, yet it's more concealed & has intensified since the 70s. Thus the explosion of debt, inequality & living standards (especially for the younger generations, because the safety net was yanked up). We've become of society of the Spectacle.
