Although this number may seem unbelievable, it represents the combined impact of tens of millions of outdoor cats. Outdoor cats kill many other small animals as well. It is dangerous and unhealthy for outdoor cats; they pickup terrible diseases from other cats and animals; they often get hit by cars; toxic substances such as slug pellets, anti-freeze or rat poison kills them as well. Please consider what you are doing when allowing a cat to be outdoors. You can train the cat to be an indoor cat; it just takes time and patients.
