Undocumented immigrants are generally ineligible for federal health care programs and benefits, but some states have programs to help:
Health care
Undocumented immigrants are ineligible for Medicaid and CHIP, and they can't use the ACA marketplaces to enroll in coverage. However, some states have programs to cover undocumented immigrants, especially low-income children and pregnant people. In Florida, undocumented immigrants may be able to get limited healthcare services from non-profit and community-based programs.
Housing
The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program provides grants to states, cities, and counties to help people regain stability in permanent housing. Many ESG services are exempt from immigration restrictions, including street outreach, emergency shelter, and rapid re-housing.
The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1986 (EMTALA) requires hospitals with emergency departments to provide urgent care to all patients.
