London, and a lot of them live in very large houses/mansions in the outskirts of rural villages in places like Kent, West Sussex ect - places totally insulated from reality where they can preserve this vision of 1960's Britain.

Because they're wealthy and comfortable and probably live either in some pretty rural village or an elite metropolitan area - they have no concept of the reality of others, only the self

@gwendolynpugby It is a criminal offence to enter the UK illegally. It's a criminal offence to work in the UK as an illegal immigrant. It's also a criminal offence for a landlord/agent to knowingly rent private accommodation to an illegal immigrant. All straight from UK GOV website.

Trouble is my man, that loyalty only goes as deep as the UK working for them on an economic level - once they boogaloo they won't give a crap about the UK. It'll just be their battle ground.

@shadow7988 Indeed, and they only want to preserve that status quo until they snuff it - that couldn't give to F's about the mess it leaves us. I've had these discussions with my father countless times - his default response when you've laid out so much empirical evidence he can no longer argue his points is "well, I'm glad I won't be around to see it" And there it is, the boomer attitude - "I'll be ok, but f your luck"

Bit hard to do that when several generations have been born over here. Whether we like it or not the ones born here that don't have dual nationality passports (UK only) are our problem to deal with.

@baswenmakers6846 The oldest Boomers weren't adults (18 yo) until 1964. Western civilisation was already rebuilt by that point by what was left of the 'greatest generation'. The Boomers got to enjoy the spoils/economic boom that followed - they didn't rebuild a destroyed Europe 😂
