@billyhellboy6138 Sorry but crimping is generally preferable to soldering in automotive applications. Soldered joints tend to be brittle due to solder wicking up the cable at the joint, they break after a few years of vibration. If your having problems with crimps failing, your not crimping properly, usually because of a poor quality/incorrect crimp tool.

Some times I've found when wiring is this bad it's cheaper and quicker to just cut it all out and start again. If an old vehicle and cost needs to be kept down I often use 7 core trailer cable as a cheap, dirty 'pre made' harness for rear light wiring. Nothing beats a proper individual wire carefully made harness but as Wes says its very time consuming. I find the trailer cable is a happy compromise, better than hacking away with spices atleast.
