But NEVER individual accountability - but that's pretty much the basis of identity politics. When I hear them say "we need to ditch identity politics" what I hear is "we need to get better at disguising identity politics"

  14. Farage being not right wing enough is a valid criticism and should be outwardly spoken - how else are politicians supposed to know what we want? Just rolling over and accepting what we're offered is EXACTLY what's got us in this mess. But I do agree with your point that he is our only real option. Anything else is just voting for the status quo of managed decline but that doesn't mean Farage should be immune from criticism - that's how dictators are created.

  15. I sincerely hope this wakes up the 'old thinking' voters that a vote for a fringe party isnt necessarily a wasted vote. That thinking of "a vote for anyone but the 3 main parties is a wasted vote" is imho, a big part of how we've got into this mess.

And yes, our nations in Europe have relied on the USA militarily for far too long - our complacency will be our undoing. If our militaries weren't so pathetic this war probably wouldn't have started in the first place.

We're not the roaring lion of a nation we used to be - we could be again, but we need to rebuild ourselves instead of getting involved with scraps between two deeply corrupt ex communist, ex Soviet countries. I'll ask you this, if it properly kicks off in this country do you honestly think any other countries are going to come to our aid? I highly doubt it.

"As soon as the fire comes near them they can get free and get out" Does he not undertsand that if the fires close enough to burn your bindings free its also close enough to ignite your clothes, ignite your hair and remove all of your skin - oh, and heat the air around you enough so that it instantly sears your lungs as soon as you take a breath. Im not even going to get into the fact youd likely passed unconscious from smoke inhalation already. These people are so detached from reality its terrifying.
