Rainman Ray's Repairs

I feel ya man, its not a specific industry problem, it a worldwide corporate culture problem - its the same in my industry (forklift sales/repair), seems no one wants to provide honest service anymore, just everyone trying to screw everyone else for whatever they can.

I get it man, I've noticed in your demeanour at times in recent videos that things have been grating. I'm in a similar situation with my employer atm, might not be true but kinda feels I'm the only person who actually gives a shit about customers actually getting the service their paying for - and when you that guy, your the 'outlying' variable compared to everyone else so your the problem in management's eyes. You know when your time somewhere is near, just takes the right catalyst to get the new path started but as you say, head down and carry on, no hasty decisions.

Don't do that, it's spiteful, immature and could potentially have legal consequences for Ray if his ex-employer decided to go that way. Also remember it's OK wanting to doxx a business, presumably trying to do their business economic damage but remember there are other employed people there just trying to earn a living to pay their bills/feed their families. A moments self-gratification can have big impacts on innocent everyday people.

@rayjon237 Even more so in this day an age where mechanics are no longer a dime a dozen and good mechanics are like hens teeth - too many employers haven't worked it out yet though. I'm a forklift tech and it takes my employer 6-12mths in average to find a new mechanic and 70% of the time they're either incompetent or lazy or both.

@Randy.E.R True that. I'd love to make youtube videos but my employer would ever allow it and tbh if I had my own business I'm pretty sure I wouldn't allow it either - too many potential complications.

@brnmcc01 Similar thing happened to me a 5-6 years ago. Depot service manager spoke to me like a POS and after dealing with this a-hole for 10 years I decided enough was enough - quit right there. Well, I'd been doing some cover work recently for 6mths for another depot (big site contract) and when they found out I'd quit they were straight on the phone and said we're phoning head office (corporate). My boss had already been doing damage limitation - "he's a problem, bad attitude, no great loss blah blah". Kind of contradicted what the other depot said about me 😉. Service director came down, I laid my cards on the table, made a gentleman's agreement to stick it out another 6 months and have a review after that time. My depot general manager and service manager got the biggest ass-kicking I've seen - could hear it from the workshop. Never of those two gentleman spoke to me out of turn again. Service manger got fired a few years later - got caught stealing scrap (was a substantial sum of money). What goes around, eventually comes around.

@jameshillicke5512 Sadly with the coming western economic crisis the quantity over quality is starting to rear its head again. My employer was very much 'quality over quantity' but the last 6 mths I've seen the tide starting to change 😔. As soon as they lean on me to alter my work ethic that way is when we'll part company.
