  1. All the kohler diesels aren't designed by kohler but are actually italien Lombadini diesels. Kohler brought Lombardini a few years back now. Even the 3/4 cylinder water-cooled diesels are all based on the Lombardini LDW series. There not bad engines, best described as 'medium duty', not as good as a yanmar/kubota but fit a price point and miles better then the cheap Chinese knock-offs.
