It is if your using them in a process that currently has to have a fuel combusted as part of the process - far better to use a waste product as fuel than extracting/mining/transporting new fuel sources - such as fossil fuels.

@birchthebirch4593 Nah, they'll take any metal they can salvage, smash the blade to bits in the process and just leave it all over your front lawn 😂

Sorry but making glorified ornaments out of them is not a realistic solution - it's a bit of environmental virtue signalling at best. I don't see the issue with burning them in processes that still require a fuel of some description to be burnt - it's still recycling. I was quite surprised to find out what happened to the waste engine oil collected from my employer, thinking its all filtered, graded and reused but no. Most of it went to fire a coke furnace somewhere - that furnace has got to be fired on something and if it isn't waste oil, it'll be new oil or natural gas. The co2 savings are avoiding all the additional co2 from extracting and shipping those new resources all around the world.
