  1. Shit happens man. Tbh I'd be more pissed about the land owner who sold it to you than the actual owner - I suspect they knew damn well it wasn't theirs to sell, hence the less than scrap value price. A couple of the good tyres are worth more than what you paid for it. The fact they were so willing to buy back off you so quick says to me they sold it, then sat on the money waiting to see if there was any come backs. The main thing is your gonna get your return of investment back - I'd work a bit extra in too 😉 My old man got caught out a couple of times (self employed forklift tech) with machines he bought - didn't know they were stolen rental machines until he went to get parts from the dealer and the serial numbers flagged up 🤦‍♂️.

  2. And he's going to get paid for the work he did and the money back he paid for the loader - given the complexity of the situation that's a 150% win! The real dispute is between the land owner and the original machine owner.
