  1. ​ @jone8626 It is true the US is way behind but sometimes I think the UK/Europe is far too over the top. A lot of the regulation has made it impossible for single owner operators to exist.

  2. Here in the UK they have a formal annual inspection every year once they hit 3 years old. Trucks in commercial use also have to have documented safety inspection by a competent person every 6 weeks.

  4. Try here in the UK. Formal 'ministry' inspections yearly once a truck hits 3 years old. Any truck used commercially has to have a documented safety inspection by a competent/qualified person every 6 weeks!
