  2. Whether you believe in fossil fuel induced climate change or not, burning fossil fuels still creates pollution and power generation is a huge proportion of all fossil fuels burnt. The resources are finite so it's stupid not to use clean, reliable sources like nuclear fission and save those fossil fuel resources for the applications that there is no alternative for.
