  1. Understand Vietnam is in an ever revealing severe panic over upcoming American tariffs which they’re not going to avoid by trying to kowtow. In this panic they’ll smile and shake your hand and make trade deals and promises (as they have with China in 2025), and then turn around and stab you in the back. Vietnams economy is soon to be decimated by American tariffs as it has a ridiculously huge trade deficit. Vietnam has been riding an economic high just like China did two decades ago and now like China their economy is about to come falling down as it’s built on a house of cards dependent on the huge trade imbalance with America. Vietnam will find itself between a rock (American tariffs) and a hard place (The Dragon to the North). In other words, they’re doomed in 2025.
