  2. Almost like Avatar and Cameron Gibson took way too long for a second film. After the Passion’s success he had the momentum to get the next film done within certainly the next decade. His personal issues delayed it somewhat but it seems odd that rather than give up on the project ….. way too many years have passed and the window has closed …. he decides now to do it?? It’s disheartening and his delay for this long has also been disheartening. Caveizel is over 50 now? He wants to use de-aging technology? Meh. The resurrection won’t hurt, but he had 21 years to have gotten this done at times we really needed it and needed the momentum of the Passion to continue. Mel dropped the ball, he could have sold the rights or passed the baton over a decade ago and ensured Jim reprised the role. Mel dropped the ball. Now….it won’t be right. 5 years after the Passion’s success would have been the right time.
