Interviewer brought up a good point: There are too many sanctioning bodies and anonymous, inferior champions holding belts now. Being undisputed meant you were special back in the 1970's or 1980's--guys like Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, and Lennox Lewis, for example, were all special. Now? Guys like Josh Taylor, Jermell Charlo, Devin Haney, and even Bud Crawford, were all undisputed at one point, and none of them are special.
