Shakur fights once a year and then wonders why nobody pays attention to him. He'll never make serious money in the sport.

@Boosiefade123 Sorry, but he's made peanuts so far in his career. His biggest fight was against Oscar Valdez a few years ago, and he probably topped out in the high 6-figures. Problem is the dude is boring. Nobody will pay to see him run around the ring for 12 rounds. He's probably going to pull the race card later and blame everyone but himself for his lack of popularity. Same thing his friend Bud Crawford did. That doesn't inspire anyone to watch him fight.

@ Oh my god. TWICE A YEAR!!!!! Wow, what a warrior!!! What a workload!!!! Twice a year!!! wow.

Wouldn't pay two cents to see Shakur fight. His record thinner than roast beef at Arby's.
1
@IbnTheGreatOne He's strictly an ESPN level fighter. He couldn't sell out a high school gym. He's wasted a majority of his career. Who wants to see a guy run around for 12 rounds? Not me.
1
@IbnTheGreatOne He did not sell out MGM...and most of those fans were there because of Oscar...not Shakur. Are you serious, man? You're reaching hard dude.
1
@IbnTheGreatOne I'm trying to help him out. He should set up a GoFundme because he doesn't make peanuts as a boxer. I'll help him out with a dollar or two.
1
@incognitoRank you're proof of that. Guarantee you Shakur will be fighting well into his 30's trying to make up for lost time. He's wasted a bunch of his prime unfortunately. Same thing with his buddy Bud Crawford, who' been begging Canelo for a payday at the age of 38. That's embarrassing.
1
@MikeThaPhilosopher Shakur is not a top guy.
1
@B-Rai87 that's an excuse all lazy fighters use.
1
@MikeThaPhilosopher Shakur is strictly a non-ppv, ESPN level, Indian casino fighter. Sorry.
1
@nduguhalisi1146 nobody gives af about worthless titles and internet belts. They're easy to come by and there are so many inferior champions out there. Jermell, Bud, Devin, Josh Taylor, George Kambosos all undisputed and none of them are superstars. Heck, Bud is 37 and begging Canelo for $ he don't deserve. Bud a box office loser and that's a fact. Those belts he won don't mean spit. Bud could walk down any street in America completely unnoticed. Facts. So could Shakur.
1
@LockCheesee Difference between Tank and Shakur is Tank has already made tens of millions in earnings and has proven himself. Shakur has not. He's still a non-ppv attraction that likes to bitch and complain. You can keep responding but it won't change anything.
1
@LockCheesee I can see Shakur fighting well into his 30's because he's wasted so much time. You have to be entertaining and learn how to fight and not just box to make $$$. Tank understands that, Mike Tyson understood that. Anthony Joshua understands that even though he got KO'd. He showed heart. Shakur has never shown heart. People can see that.
1
@GregTyler-cb6hq There IS such a thing as running in boxing. And the guys that run and box usually make a lot less than fighters that want to trade and fight. Pernell Whitaker was a damn good boxer but made mostly peanuts until Oscar blessed him. Floyd was strictly a non-attraction, non-ppv boxer on HBO until Oscar blessed him with his shot. Other examples.
1
@LockCheesee Tank understands that in order to make PPV money in boxing, you have to entertain and be aggressive and go for the highlight reel KO. Tank has a bunch of them, guy: Barrios, Santa Cruz, Garcia....What good does it do a fighter if he has skills but nobody wants to pay to see him? Is he in it for exercise? It's not showfriends...it's showbusiness. Go study.
1
@LockCheesee been watching for a long, long time and attending some of the greatest fights ever. You need to go watch tennis or badminton and stop hugging shakur's sac. He's not that good.
1
@LockCheesee so what. Bud Crawford is a senior citizen at 38 still looking for a payday.
1
@LockCheesee I care because I don't want to see these guys fighting well into their 30's and 40' after their reflexes have declined.
1
@lashaniquestallworth3030 sure. I've seen plenty of fighters much better and more popular than Shakur will ever be-- Tyson, Evander, Chavez, RJJ...most wind up fighting into their 40's or even their 50's making side shows out of themselves because they lost all their $$$ somehow. I hope it doesn't happen to Shakur, but he hasn't helped himself by his inactivity.
1
@lashaniquestallworth3030 are you his money manager? If not, you don't know.
1
@jiggyjosh730 wow. A whole two fights! Even if you're right, that's still chump change. Shakur will never be a headliner with his boring style. Sorry.
1
@Dontel17 That's what he says. Do you believe everything you're told?
1
@nikkimcclam6564 that's because nobody knows him.
1
@SincerelyMagnolia Frank Martin is not a headliner, and neither is Shakur. So how does he expect to make any serious $$$? Shakur needs to focus on the ethnic matchups, like the one he had versus Oscar Valdez. Mexican fighters are very popular and he could make more $ that way. That's what Floyd found out. It's all about the matchups.
1
@Dontel17 He's 27 and only has 22 fights. He's just a lazy fighter who thinks he's worth more than he actually is. Like his friend Bud Crawford, who's 37 years old and has spent the last year begging Canelo for a payday because he never developed his own brand. These are the same types of fighters that wind up fighting well into their 30's and 40's because they never maximized their income in their prime.
