@boostedmaniac That's baloney. First of all, the wage increase only applies to larger fast-food chains with at least 60 restaurants nationwide. It will have zero impact on smaller mom-and pop restaurants. You don't think MCD or SBUX has enough to pay their employees a few dollars extra? If they leave, that restaurant would quickly be purchased by some other establishment. No big deal.

@ScottCleve33 You can go stuff your face with Big Macs every day if you feel so bad for MCD. The only ones showing faux outrage at this are investors, fund managers, and Wall Street. Go study.

@946towguy2 Panera Bread is NOT owned by a Newsom supporter. The person you're referring to is Greg Flynn, a franchisee who operates 24 locations. This is a phony controversy, either way. I hope MCD and SBUX all go out of business. They are a blight wherever they are located and only bring loitering, traffic, junk food, and low paying jobs. Good riddance.
