I don't like attending parties with guests passing gas everywhere. But point taken. Great video.

There is a question of causation in our evolution as humans: Did our larger brain develop because of our protein diet (animals)? Or was a protien diet required for needed fuel due to our larger brain mass index? Great video.

"The perfect blossom is a rare thing. You could spend your life looking for one, and it would not be a wasted life." I remember this quote from "The Last Samurai" several years ago. It could be interpreted a few ways. To me it means the quest or pursuit of happiness and fulfillment is what counts--whether or not it is actually realized.

Whenever you monetize something so crucial and necessary as healthcare, the science gets compromised and corrupted. Big pharma would much rather have you taking a pill for the rest of your life to mask your illness, rather than actually curing you. Thank you Goobie for shedding light on the current zeitgeist of greed and profits that pervade in medicine. You obviously did not go to medical school to be a pawn for some hospital or insurance company.

Being religious is ipso facto incompatible with being a scientist, and believing in the scientific method. Religion is based primarily on faith, which requires nothing more than blind, unquestioning belief. Science is the opposite. It requires proof and asks questions. It would be quite scary to know the surgeon operating on me relied on faith more than on scientific principles and training. Or that the bridge i drive over, the plane I fly on, or the medicine I take, was created by people who relied on faith rather than sound medical and/scientific principles. Religion is really academic, scientific, and statistical nonsense. Just my opinion.
