Don't hold your breath. Bud still thinks he's the "A-Side" and will price himself out of the fight.

@jpp1749 I'll believe it when they make an official announcement. Besides, this fight should have happened several years ago. Bud will be 35 by the time the fight happens. There are too many young guns like Ennis, Vergil Ortiz, The Dream, Shakur, etc. to sit around and wait for this fight.

@jpp1749 I hope Haney wins. Going into enemy territory and winning requires a special talent and only a few fighters can do it. If Haney wins, he can make a legit claim to be included in the top-10 P4P. It will be a much more impressive win than Shakur's win over Oscar Valdez. I can't wait to see what Haney does.

@jpp1749 I will say Bud has to be the most mismanaged fighter since probably a prime Shane Mosley 20 years ago. After beating Oscar, Mosley should have been a PPV star. Instead he fought high risk/low reward guys like Vernon Forrest (RIP) TWICE and Winky Wright TWICE for peanuts, losing all four. He missed out on several PPV paydays. Same with Bud, who thought unifying 140 against a bunch of 1-hit wonders like Postol and Indongo and a few elderly Olympians would make him a PPV star. It didn't. He beat a schoolteacher to win his 147-pound belt, and has faced nothing but washed-up UK fighters and a used up Shawn Porter recently. Errol Spence Jr. by clear decision.

@jpp1749 As for Haney, he gets a ton of credit if he can come home with the belts. I can only think of a handful of fighters who were able to win big fights on the road...Golovkin, Azumah Nelson, and Alexis Arguello come to mind (I'm old school). Haney will put himself in elite company if he can overcome the hostile crowd and possibly the judges this Saturday. I wish him luck.

@dougobrien8631 The judges and referee selections will be critical for this fight because neither fighter has knockout power, especially Devin Haney. It will most likely come down to how the judges score the fight and whether they wind up being influenced (intimidated) by what will obviously be a pro-Kambosos Jr. crowd. If Kambosos Jr. was really an emperor as he claims, he would have fought in a more recognized location like Las Vegas or perhaps a neutral territory like the UK or Middle East. I think Haney is in for some home town cooking.

Kambosos Jr. beat an overrated Teo and what else????? He's no emperor. Haney beats the brakes off this guy.
