Bernie Sanders, as always, is on point. But as Americans we'd rather have dolts like Donald Trump and, to an extent, Biden in office. We truly are getting what we deserve in this country.

@MARSKEE Term limits. Politics was never meant to be a career line of work. I think this would make politicians less concerned with getting re-elected and polls and other nonsense; and get them more focused on governing.

@charlenebruce619 What do you mean by "Extreme"? You mean fighting to make sure everyone has health insurance, or that everyone is paid a fair wage? You mean fighting to ensure everyone has access to an education if they want it? You mean fighting to make sure the government and the economy works for everyone, and not just the 1%? Is that what you mean by "extreme"? You've been misled, I'm afraid. Give me an example of what you mean.

Mayor Brown is incorrect: This country and its economy early on were founded on wholesale genocide, and slavery. Unfortunately, violence is part of our country's DNA.

The scary part of this shooting is the general apathy shown by the media and general public. We are slowly becoming desensitized to these incidents. They are Page 2 news now.

Throwing people like Payton Gendron in prison will not end the violence, especially when we have leaders encouraging this type of mentality. The next Payton Gendrons are out there somewhere.
