I attended this fight at the MGM. I remember there were lots of Brits there. Barrera re-invented himself after the second "defeat" to Junior Jones (I thought he won) and in particular after his first fight with Erik Morales (which I also attended live at the Mandalay Bay). He became a skilled fighter and this fight was a mismatch. Hamed took a man's sized beating.

@andyhardinga1768 You're right. Hamed was arrogant. He was carried into the ring on some sort of carpet I recall that was suspended by cables or pulleys from the ceiling (?), and then was allowed to make some speech in Arabic (?) mid-ring during the introduction. He was a solid 3-to-1 favorite that night, I believe. It was fun to watch, with all the illegal moves and Hamed flying around the ring, etc.
