Trump and Jared Kushner are prime examples of how we often confer a certain level of competence to those who have not earned it.

Putting country over party. Boy, how times have changed.

I can't imagine how helpless and angry the parents felt watching from the outside of the school while carnage was taking place inside and the cops were standing around doing nothing. It's beyond comprehension.

Elton John has truly lived an exemplary life. Brilliant musician, and brilliant humanitarian. Well deserved.

"Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more, hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more...."
132
At least something positive has come from his presidency.

None of this would be happening if Floyd had just complied and behaved himself. He was a drug user and repeat offender, and had few redeeming qualities. And Chauvin did not murder him. Floyd was responsible for his own death. What ever happened to personal responsibility?
95
The interviewer is wasting her time trying to rationalize and argue with that lady Trump supporter. She's wasting her breath.
84
Let's see...Who am I going to trust for my health, a medical doctor and professor of medicine, or some extreme right politician whose policies are dictated by his voting base???
81
Now it's "Moscow" Mitch, Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham's turn.
74
I hope these teachers stay strong and call DeSantis' bluff; Covid already has.
62
The world has moved on. It's pathetic to see grown men and women wearing their Trump jerseys and hats calling for a suspension of reality. It's really bizarre.
58
I wish I could get a loan based on my verbal opinion of the value of my house.
52
I don't know who was more of a lapdog for Trump: Pence or Lyin' Ted Cruz.
51
It's amazing to think some U-Haul movers may have had access to some of our country's most sensitive documents. Again, why is Trump not in prison at the moment?
34
0:49: DeNiro already getting frustrated with the host.
31
This was an 11-minute Hallmark card.
28
Lots of nations throughout history have held the mantle of "Most powerful" only to lose it and get toppled. Why is the U.S. any different?
28
I love it: Between DeSantis and Trump, the democrats can look forward to another successful 2024 election. Thanks Donnie!!
27
Things are so bad in Texas, Ted Cruz is contemplating another trip to Cancun.
25
We would not be having this discussion had Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg done the right thing and retired during the Obama administration, which would have allowed him to nominate a like minded judge. She was such a hero and icon for women. This is tragic.
25
One can only wonder how better off our country would have been had Gore not conceded to W back in 2000.
20
Serious question: What has Kamala Harris done to raise her profile for a possible 2024 run? If she really wants to help her party out, she should go back to CA and do whatever she was doing before Ol' Joe selected her as his token VP.
20
Trump does not want to alienate his base, which consists primarily of the uneducated, disenfranchised, middle-aged white male voter who has to compete directly with illegal immigrants.
19
I'm so happy about the Stephen Miller news!!!
17
I'm so happy. I wish I could buy everyone pizza.
17
It's refreshing to see someone being held accountable for their reckless, libelous statements. Words matter.
12
Scumbag.
12
Rudy Giuliani's bizarre behavior is disappointing. Unfortunately, he'll be remembered for this rather than the leadership role he took during 9-11.
12
It must be wonderful to live in a world where you can suspend reality and ignore facts. Mr. Trump is a sick person.
11
@jameswilliams3241 I'm not defending Chauvin's behavior. But don't believe for a second that he received a fair trial and that the jury did not have a bias on Day 1 as to his guilt. The jury saw what happened last year with the "peaceful" BLM protests. Did they want to have a Part II? No way. This was all a farce.
11
I disagree. Trump guarantees the republican party a big loss in 2024. Those that still cling to the big lie are not enough to get him back in the white house.
11
I would vote for Romney in a heartbeat if he were to run in the primary. He was one of the few republicans who had the courage of his convictions to impeach Trump when other republican senators were too cowardly to do it.
10
@TheAgent0060 I'm actually glad he was found guilty. Otherwise, there would have been more rioting, looting, and property destroyed by these "peaceful" BLM protestors. But this will not change anything.
10
The fact that the Jan 6 hearings are finally taking place now has probably taken a huge load off of Toobin.
9
Most coastal home owners in California are concerned about the environmental impact(s) of the oil spill only as far as it affects their home values and views of the coast.
8
Reporters like Sam Donaldson, Peter Jennings, and Ted Koppel come from a different era when journalists simply reported the news and never had an agenda.
8
Beto is MUCH more polished as a speaker than he was less than a year ago when he debated "Lyin' Ted."
8
@tiffanimcmillian3058 I agree with everything you said. But let's not make Floyd out to be this outstanding citizen who is now a martyr and hero. He was a guy trying to circulate fake money and was a repeat drug user. He didn't deserve to die, but his actions led to his demise. As for Chauvin, don't think for a second he received a fair trial either. The jurors saw what happened with the "peaceful protests" last year and did not want a repeat--especially as our economy is barely starting to heal. And I do not know all the details of what happened--and neither do you. If Floyd had behaved and complied, none of this would have happened.
8
@Itowle9 It's frustrating that everything boils down to one thing...race. Why would anyone in their right mind ever want to pursue a career in law enforcement if there's a good chance they will get sued, or killed, or wind up in prison?? Look what happened to Officer Wilson in Missouri a few years ago when he rightfully defended himself from that black criminal Michael Brown. It's a thankless job.
8
@Mr A I will take that old demented fool over an unqualified charlatan like what we had. Happy new year, dunce.
7
@christopherbattle5161 Instincts are for animals. We have science, which is very clear in this. Unfortunately, we have a large percentage of people in the country that are highly uneducated, and we have to interact with them by no choice of our own.
7
@grracegrracy2730 Aww. Did I hurt your feelings?
6
Can't believe actors like Winkler and Ron Howard are elder statesmen in Hollywood now. The 1960's and 1970's had some great sitcoms...Gilligan's Island; Get Smart; Gomer Pyle, USMC; Three's Company....and on and on....
6
I'm sure Ms. Bennett will be publishing a book soon and maybe a mini-series.
5
...and all this violence nd instability occurred under Trump's poor stewardship of the country. There, corrected you.
5
Gone are old school republicans like Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr., John McCain, and now Bob Dole. Who is left to remind future Americans of how great the party once was? RIP.
5
Last year a young Asian-American girl basketball player was sucker-punched by a black girl from the opposing team. Just curious if Mr. Cornell William Brooks or LeBron James got involved in any way or made statements condemning the act.
5
Abby Phillip's husband is one lucky dude: She's gorgeous and smart.
5
He was making sense up until the last minute when he suggested that this whole thing would have been prevented if schoolteachers were armed. Maybe all the kids should be armed too, huh?
