GGG is a complete fighter. But that over-the-top left hook he throws is a bit gimmicky and would never land against elite level competition. This win proves nothing.

@orlandolemus9353 I commend Rolls for staying in there for 4 rounds. But if he was truly world-class, it would not have taken him so long to gain recognition at 35 years of age. This was just a glorified sparring session is what it was. If GGG can fight and defeat someone in his prime like Charlo or Andrade, then I will say he deserves a trilogy with Canelo.

@orlandolemus9353 This was only his first fight in NINE MONTHS. He needs to earn his shot again. Beating a guy like Steve Rolls doesn't earn anything. It was basically a softball pitch, the same kind Canelo got against Rocky Fielding. Canelo went on to defeat world-rated Danny Jacobs after. It's GGG's turn to defeat a world-class fighter. That's just being fair. For all we know, GGG might be a shot fighter already. Couldn't tell against Rolls.

@orlandolemus9353 His victory over Jacobs is what earned GGG his FIRST fight against Canelo. Is GGG supposed to be champion emeritus or something, earning a shot at the belt simply because of his one victory over Jacobs two years ago? Duran beat Leonard too. Does that mean he's entitled to face Terence Crawford right now? Come on.
